Dear Pet Parents,
Here at Lakeshore Road Animal Hospital, we are committed to providing all of our patients with high quality care. When a pet parent books an appointment for their pet, we are holding a space that is no longer available to other patients. When an appointment is canceled without advance notice, this prevents another patient from being seen. However, providing notice when needing to cancel an appointment will allow another patient in need of care access to that appointment time.
Our priority is to always provide exceptional care, and do our best to accommodate the high demand for appointments, while also respecting our Veterinarian’s time and busy schedule.
That being said, we have now implemented a No-Show and Cancellation Policy for all surgeries and appointments scheduled with our Veterinarian. We do require notice at least 24 hours in advance to cancel an appointment.
A late cancelation is when the appointment is canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
A no-show is when an appointment is missed without canceling, and the pet parent does not show up for the appointment.
In either scenario, if less than 24 hours notice is given, or if there is no notice at all, a $45 cancellation fee will apply and will be required to be paid in order to book future appointments.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise, so if you do need to cancel an appointment, please call us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, and if necessary, leave a detailed voicemail and we will return your call as soon as possible. This will allow us to offer that appointment slot to another patient in need.
